India Initiative Reception

On October 11, 2007, the Wisconsin Alumni Association, the Division of International Studies and the Center for South Asia hosted a reception for Indian American alumni in the Madison area and UW-Madison faculty with an interest in India. Historically UW-Madison has had many ties to India. To recognize the importance of India in the world, UW-Madison Dean of International Studies, Gilles Bousquet, announced an India Initiative that will expand and augment the many affiliations that already exist between the university and India.
